The Kamala Harris Factor
FlaglerLive No Bull, no Fluff, No Smudges August 4, 2024 | FlaglerLive | 63 Comments By Diane Roberts Donald J. Trump, J.D. Vance, Speaker of the House Mike “Mighty Porn Resister” Johnson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Mensa, British emotional support fascist Nigel Farage, regular fascist Nick Fuentes, comedian Russell Brand, comedian Megyn Kelly, her former Fox “News” klavern-mates, Ronbo DeSantis, and five or six white people in a Midwestern focus group all agree: You must not vote for Kamala Harris.Gay porno As one of the focus group ladies said: “Everybody’s excited about her and that scares me.”
We cannot have excitement. So do not vote for Kamala Harris. Why? You need to ASK? She’s a “DEI hire.” She took a job that should have gone to a more qualified white man. Bet she doesn’t even own a set of golf clubs. As Wisconsin Rep. Glenn Grothman says, she’s only VP “because of her ethnic background.” She got elected district attorney, attorney general of California, U.S. senator, and vice-president, but so what? She’s not eligible to be president. Her parents immigrated to the U.S. specifically to produce a California anchor baby who would one day infiltrate our government at the highest levels. Has anyone seen her birth certificate? Even if she’s technically a citizen, as a childless cat lady, she’s not qualified to be president. Trump VP pick and “Project 2025″ cheerleader J.D. Vance has explained this to us many times: Women who have failed in the fruitful womb department don’t deserve to be taken seriously as humans.
Taylor Swift — with her billions of dollars, her large cats, and her larger boyfriend who she hasn’t married and procreated with according to God’s plan — clearly hates America. But you know who’s never given birth, either? Every single president of the United States. Kamala Harris not really black. She is actually Indian or Caribbean or Irish or something. If you believe the Daily Mail newspaper (and who doesn’t?), her great-great-great-grandfather was a slave-owner born in County Antrim who ran one of those gracious Jamaican plantations. Yeah, she went to college at Howard and pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha, a “Divine Nine” black sorority, but that was all part of her plan to impersonate a black woman so she could get DEI hired at the White House. Speaking of black sororities, she blew off a speech by Israeli Prime Minister and proud war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu to give the keynote at the Zeta Phi Beta convention in Indianapolis. Brian Kilmeade of “Fox and Friends” expressed shock and horror: She dissed the man behind the Gaza famine to talk to a bunch of women, “a sorority, a colored sorority, like she can’t get out of that.” Kilmeade later insisted he said “COLLEGE sorority,” not “colored.” That’s OK: The dogs heard the whistle and howled loudly. She laughs. A lot. Ever see Donald J. Trump laugh? I rest my case. She got ahead thanks to the political casting couch.
In 1994, Harris dated Willie Brown, then-speaker of the California Assembly. He was married but separated. In 1995, she dumped him. Conservatives are leaping on this 30-year-old affair like Donald Trump on a Big Mac: She’s an adulteress! A harlot! Megyn Kelly sniffs she “slept her way” to a stellar career in elected office. The founder of the white nationalist Pastors for Trump twixxted: “Donald Trump is like King David. Kamala Harris is like Queen Jezebel.” In the Old Testament, Jezebel was a worshiper of Baal, an irritable woman with a habit of murdering Hebrew prophets, but her name has now become a racist trope, shorthand for a prostitute, a black temptress. Now let’s do King David: 18 children, eight wives, and so many side-pieces the Bible can’t name them all. While a married man, Donald Trump slept with an adult film star and a Playboy Playmate; he’s an adjudicated rapist, has fathered five kids with three women, and has a well-publicized attraction to girls young enough to be his daughter — including his actual daughter.
He’d tell anyone within earshot she has “the best body.” While we’re on the subject of sex, what’s up with J.D. Vance and sofas? There is no evidence that the Republican nominee for vice president ever did the nasty with a sectional, a settee, or even a love seat, none whatsoever. Yet despite the AP and every other reputable news organization fact-checking this outlandish claim and declaring it false, the story’s sticking around; indeed, it’s inspired countless memes and an pro-Harris video of cats riding sofas called “Couches for Kamala.” Sen. Vance has not commented on his relationship with furniture. Anyway, the point is Harris can’t be president because she’s a girl. At least, we assume she’s a girl. She might be a man like Michelle Obama and just fooling us. In any case, Donald Trump, blindsided by Joe Biden’s decision to pass the torch and suffering buyer’s remorse over the weird dude he chose as a running mate, is just one hissy fit away from saying the quiet part out loud at a rally. We’ve seen this before, remember, when Trump tried to cast Hillary Clinton as old, ugly, sickly, and prone to “female trouble.” There’s no reason to think he’s got his consciousness raised. MAGA cult members pitched a hissy fit when they saw some of the Secret Service agents protecting Trump at the Pennsylvania Rally were female. Right wing fruit bat Matt Walsh said, “There should not be any women in the Secret Service. If there’s a woman doing a job like this, it 100 percent means that a more qualified male was passed over.” Women, by their very nature, are “unqualified.” Trump’s supporters want to “get back to the 1960s” when Dad went to work, Mom stayed home, and there were no “angry feminists” wanting to exercise power over their lords and masters. Back in the lovely 1960s, the likes of Kamala Harris would be cleaning houses, not raising $100 million in 24 hours for her campaign, not talking about prosecuting and beating an obviously superior white man like Donald J. Trump. Got Trump geared up to run against Joe Biden. Now he’s got to “start all over” in a race against a DEI hire, black, not-black, slutty radical feminist, barren-wombed, laughing lady who wants to destroy America. It’s just not fair, is it? Hank says August 4, 2024 at 6:18 pm If DEI is good why is it bad to say Kamala is a DEI hire? Is she not the most qualified for the position? Wasn’t Biden pressured to have a minority woman as his running mate? Simple questions looking for simple answers that stick to the questions.
Nancy N. says August 4, 2024 at 9:47 pm Because the purpose of DEI is to make sure that QUALIFIED people who would be passed over because of their demographic characteristics are included in hiring processes and leadership. But when people like Trump start ranting about a person being a DEI hire, what they are really meaning is that the person is unqualified and only hired because of their gender or race or whatever and couldn’t possibly be the most qualified. It’s a modern veiled way of calling someone “uppity” and saying they don’t belong basically.
jake says August 5, 2024 at 6:24 am If your goal is to fill a job by the color, gender, or the sexual preference of the applicant, then you have already eliminated the most qualified candidate. DEI, or affirmative action, will never produce the best results.
Ray W. says August 9, 2024 at 10:16 am Actually, DEI policy can and does produce the person who turns out to be the most qualified candidate. When I graduated from law school nearly 40 years ago, women were a significant minority in the legal field that comprised the four counties of the 7th Circuit. Minority women were nearly non-existent. Today, minority women capably and in many instances excellently represent all types of causes. Some are judges and are quite good, if not very good, at upholding the rule of law. The purpose of DEI is to stop people like you from holding back the excellent among us. Please stop wandering through life fooling yourself. Say this 21 times in a row. It can be the chance itself that provides the opportunity for future greatness.
Deborah Coffey says August 5, 2024 at 7:13 am It’s bad to say ONLY because Republicans use DEI as a derogatory remark. They actually believe that NO BLACK person is qualified for anything so, Blacks are “given” jobs over their White, exceptionally qualified candidates in order to improve America’s diversity, equality, and inclusion. To the right wing, it’s equivalent of calling Black people the “N” word. And, how do you KNOW that Biden was pressured to choose Kamala Harris?
feddy says August 6, 2024 at 6:37 am Of course he was pressured and the same for his supreme court nominee, he came out and stated that he was going to select a black female right off the bat which limited the choices. He should of just done it without patting himself on the back prior to his selection. So tell me what does the optics say?
Laurel says August 9, 2024 at 3:33 pm Feddy: All politicians choose candidates that will produce the desired results. The thing to do is to choose the most qualified as well. Biden did that. Trump really screwed up by choosing awkward Vance. He did not choose the most qualified, he chose someone severely unqualified but who will help him overturn the next election. That’s just one “nobody home” person choosing another “nobody home” candidate in my opinion. Birds of an awkward, narississtic feather.
JimboXYZ says August 5, 2024 at 8:13 am Exactly, the Democrats have been plotting this for quite some time. Had Biden announced/been forced to step down earlier, that he would not be running in 2024, the Democrats are forced to determine their party’s representative in a January => Spring 2024 Primary process, like the Republicans have done to arrive at Trump as the RNC ticket. This was an election tamper that started in 2020, from the moment Pelosi was making noise about the 25th Amendment. Reuters article indicates the DNC would have a primary with potential Democratic options for registered Democrat voters to decide. The article assumes Harris to be the favorite, reality is Newsom & several others would be easily able to give her a run for Democrat POTUS ticket for 2024. Newsom claims he wouldn’t run against either Biden or Harris, but I doubt that. It’s easy to say one thing, a different when the scenario actually is right in front of him or any Democrat or even Republican that can legitimately challenge for the POTUS. Does Kennedy run as a Democrat in a Primary Process for 2024 ? “A senior Democrat said Newsom “has told people he won’t run against Biden” or Harris. The Democrat said Newsom could change his mind about running against the vice president.” Full article, just in case anyone wants to see the reality of what the Democrats have pulled from 2020-present. Biden has stayed in long enough to circumvent all of this as the Democratic Voting process & the only reason the Trump vs Biden debate was moved up as early as they have been, it was the terms Trump had to agree for a debate. Trump has bent over backwards to be the bigger candidate so that the Democrats could get their act together & in this case anoint/coronate Kamala Harris without her campaigning thru the Primary Process. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/what-if-biden-doesnt-run-again-2022-11-03/ End of the day, the Democrat party, the one that counts every vote. Told every registered Democrat voter that their vote didn’t matter. How is that not a threat to Democracy ? The DNC deprived voters of their right to vote by circumventing the Primary process for determining that outcome. Biden didn’t step down, he was forced out. Voters will see thru this election tampering.
Laurel says August 7, 2024 at 12:31 pm If you want to learn about election tampering, watch Frontline’s story on Fake Electors, and how some of them claim they were tricked. But you won’t, will you? How many Trumplicans watched that, or watched the January 6th investigation? These shows won’t fit into your narrative, will they? You don’t want to know that Trump’s own staff told him he lost the election, even though they have admitted it publicly. You don’t want to recall how Trump has claimed everything he has ever lost was “rigged,” even before any of it ever happened. Even his show “The Apprentice” was “rigged” he claimed, when it lost the Emmy to another program. Wow! The world’s greatest victim in the history of the universe! Do you really want to know the whole story? Do you want to see the 34 convicted felon, and rapist, tried to overturn the U.S. Government? Trump stated that mail in votes, with his name on it, were dumped. Where are they? Who has them, Giuliani? If Trump’s name on these supposedly dumped votes, then he had to see them, right? So, the *proof* should be somewhere, right? No? Quick, turn on Fox Entertainment Whew! Close call!

Laurel says August 5, 2024 at 12:37 pm Hank: Are you and your thumbs up buddies really that stupid? You really have no idea why DEI hire is an insult? Simple minds looking for simple comments. Apparently, testicles are the only requirements to hire for some. Enjoy your nuts.
In Palm Coast says August 5, 2024 at 1:07 pm DEI is an awarness that allows qualified people to enter positions, regardless of the bias that hiring people or hiring systems have against their race or even disability. Saying someone is a DEI hire misunderstands what DEI is and it is insulting to insinuate that someone was only hired because of their race. It says “This person cannot possibly be qualified.”
Sherry says August 5, 2024 at 2:40 pm @hank. . . You answered your own snarky question. Let’s put it another way. Since Kamala Harris “IS” the most qualified person to be Vice President AND our NEXT PRESIDENT of the United States, why imply that she is NOT qualified, by saying she is a DEI hire? Which implies that she was only hired “ONLY” because of the color of her skin. . . having nothing to do with her excellent qualifications. The DEI programs are in place in order to try and balance out educational and hiring programs, due to the current biases against people of color all across the United States. I can attest to this personally. During my 20+ years as a professional recruiter for fortune 500 companies, there were many times I was told directly not to submit resumes of “blacks/Latinos”. That request became more subtle over the years with particular signals such as “this is not an equal opportunity situation”. Here is my simple question: Who would label Kamala Harris as a DEI hire except a “racist”?
Hank says August 5, 2024 at 7:38 pm Out of all answers Sherry only you indicate that Kamala is the most qualified (hopefully I did not miss anyone elses post). For that you get 5 stars. No one else could say that. They had to turn it into a Maga thing which I expected. That is all they have. Could not answer a simple question.
So you indicate that Kamala was the most qualified to be VP and next President. That is sad if she is the best that the Democrats had and the best they have for President. Very Sad.. and As far as the rest of the comments…. Are you or are you not for hiring the most qualified person for a position regardless of race, sex, etc? Yes there is racism, it is terrible and should never happen, but if you are hiring people because of race or if Biden was being pushed to pick a VP candidate because of sex and race, isn’t that racism?
Sherry says August 5, 2024 at 8:44 pm @ hank. . . Please provide credentialled evidence that President Biden was “being pushed to pick a VP candidate because of sex and race”. Just how was he pushed and by whom? While you consider the choice of highly qualified Kamala Harris to be “sad”. . . come November, you’ll find it “sad” only for the now extremely right winged republican party. For me, I am elated that Kamala Harris will be our next President and confident that she will do a wonderful job for “all” the American people!
Hank says August 6, 2024 at 5:39 pm A simple search would have showed you what you already know.

I did not say the choice of Kamala was sad. It’s laughable but I said she is the most qualified was what was sad. That says a lot about the Democrat party. I am going to save your post for after the election. I want to be able to remind you.
Laurel says August 7, 2024 at 12:49 pm Hank: How about Vance being selected, supposedly by Trump (actually the Heritage Foundation), for the job because of the money he brings in from people like Peter Thiel, who if his boy gets in, will make a few billion more in the market? Peter Thiel has given Vance his *career* so how does that make Vance the most competent Vice President? That would make Vance a WEW (wealth exclusion white) hire, wouldn’t it now? The most qualified person, right? Oh, but a female (shudder) whom Trump cannot figure out (stable genius) that a person can be of both Indian and African linage (you know, two parents) cannot possibly be qualified, right? Great arguments, guys. Try again.
Hank says August 8, 2024 at 7:20 pm I will pretend I am Sherry…. Please provide credentialled evidence that Trump was pushed by the heritage foundation? If you think trump was forced you don;t know Trump. Nor have I said anything about Vance. But your “what about” response is typical from the other libs response. They can’t answer the questions and have to resort to “what about” Or are you trying to say Vance was a DEI hire??
Laurel says August 9, 2024 at 4:08 pm Hank: I never said Trump was “forced” by the Heritage Foundation. Trump was introduced to Vance, at Mar a Lago, by Peter Thiel, a software billionaire who has been pushing Vance through his short, handed to, career. If you want to learn about Peter Thiel, read this Time article: https://time.com/6092844/peter-thiel-power-biography-the-contrarian/. Peter Thiel is very much in line with the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 as is Lenard Leo. These far right billionaires are behind the next Republican administration, and people should be aware of it before they vote. Software billionaires are very interested in placing Trump in power, and the Heritage Foundation is very interested as well, as it will make those involved even richer. Trump gave them big tax cuts, and he will give them more of what they want, and they will give him the power he craves, with Vance as their backup. You and me? Nah. As for “libs” as you call them, neither liberals nor conservatives, nor all those in between, are immune to “whatabouts.” So, does that answer all your questions?
Hank says August 11, 2024 at 11:25 am I didn’t say “forced” I said pushed. And your link says nothing about Thiel pushing Trump to do anything. Trump does Trump. He is not a politician. That is what people want. Warts and all. Be they left leaning conservatives, moderate conservatives or the ding bat far right. They are tired of politicians. They don’t want someone who Biden was pushed to hire because of color or sex ( DEI hire ).

Gerard K says August 4, 2024 at 11:14 pm She fails to mention that whoever wins the election makes no difference to the majority of us as this country was sold and bought for long ago. After four years of promises one thing will hold true in that the 1% will become wealthier and the majority of us will fall further behind. While the country wallows in debt and goes bankrupt our leaders will tell us how we must cut back on entitlements ( SS & Medicare ) all the while throwing billions to just about any foreign government that asks be it friend or foe. We never have the funds to deal with some of our domestic problems but there always seems to be funding somewhere for the illegals. Well everyone vote if you must but nothing will really change in this corrupt system. Peace to all.

She actually expresses HOPE!

Sherry says August 5, 2024 at 8:53 pm Thank you Marlee! GO KAMALA! For the magas: Please play nice and say “comma la”, now how hard is that? You’ll need to practice pronouncing your President’s name correctly for hopefully 8 years. YES!
Ed P says August 5, 2024 at 6:47 am When you board the jet to leave on a family vacation, would you prefer the best qualified pilot and co-pilot or a DEI hire? If you need lifesaving medical attention what would your preference be?
Every employer would certainly want the very best qualified applicant they could hire, regardless of any factors.
Problem is, prejudices. Not any easy answers but DEI isn’t the solution.
DaleL says August 6, 2024 at 6:42 am The issue isn’t between a “qualified” pilot or a DEI hire. Commercial pilots have to retire at age 65. There is also little evidence that Mr. Trump was ever the “best qualified” pilot. This is a straw-man argument. Kamala was elected California State DA. Trump contributed to her campaigns, twice. Kamala was elected as US Senator from California. Those were not DEI hires; those were the choice of voters. Mr. Trump is a convicted felon. He is the defendant in numerous other state and federal criminal cases. He praises Vladimir Putin. He appointed judges who reversed Roe v. Wade. He would abandon Ukraine. He lies about losing the 2020 Presidential election. He has 5 kids by 3 different women. He cheated on each and every one of his wives. He has been found guilty of defamation and lying about sexual assault. He instigated the January 6th 2021 attack on the US Capitol. He used a sharpie to draw on a hurricane weather map (really weird). He is now the oldest person (78 years old) to be a candidate for President. The other candidate is infinitely better just because she is not Donald Trump.
Ed P says August 6, 2024 at 3:55 pm Dale L,
Your argument is solid. I did not say Kamal was a DEI anything.
However, you blew it with your last statement, inferring that anyone other than Trump would be infinitely better, even VP Harris.
You may be right, time is tell.
In Palm Coast says August 6, 2024 at 6:47 am DEI is not about hiring unqualified people. It’s about not excluding qualified people. It’s about understanding diversity so that it builds your organization with top talent of varying diverse backgrounds. When people talk like you do, it insinuates that it’s not possible for people of diverse backgrounds to be qualified. That’s simply not the case.
Childless Cat Lady says August 5, 2024 at 6:57 am Does anybody notice that other than misinformation, personal attacks, demeaning comments and the like, Republicans never talk about policies? What are their sctual plans for governing if they get elected? Will they continue to do nothing, other than holding hearing on their “enemies”? Has anybody actually heard how trump and his spineless politicians plan to address, climate change, homelessness, health care? Other than blathering on about immigrants, what is their actual, actionable plan for dealing with the border crisis?
Joe D says August 5, 2024 at 9:25 pm Well…”UNOFFICIALLY” the “suggestions” in Project 2025, seem to be aligned with Trump’s prior RANTINGS (ie “platform”), however, the 900+ pages by the Heritage Foundation got so much press, and EXPOSED in such DETAIL, that the Trump MAGA group had to “officially” distance themselves PUBLICLY from the detailed suggestions in Project 2025…but if you look at who came up with it (approximately 150 former and current Trump advisors, past Trump Administrators, and CONSERVATIVE GOP leaders ) it espouses MOST (arguably not ALL) of what Trump has been saying and TRYING to do since 2016. But YES, there have been few and far between actual policy proposals, other than the grandstanding of “no tax on tips” which would actually end up hurting employees total salaries as employers switch more salaried workers over to tipped, continuing the tax “cuts,” which benefits MOSTLY the upper 1-3% of incomes, creating a BIGGER budget deficit and Federal Debt than round 1 of his UNFUNDED tax cuts, and not to tax Social Security benefits ( which I only realized recently )that those taxes go toward keeping Social Security solvent, and not to the general fund…resulting in Social Security having to reduce benefits to 86% earlier than currently anticipated. Yep, that’s the only PLATFORM Plans I’ve seen discussed.
In Palm Coast says August 6, 2024 at 6:53 am Plans are described by the Heritage Foundation:
1. Provide more funding for private education.
2. Limit funding for public education.
3. Provide incentives for the energy industry.
4. Allow the executive branch to have more authoritative power to hire and fire professional, merit based positions in the Civil Services.
5. Create a conservative “LinkedIn” type platform to vet all personnel, including civil servants.
Tony Mac says August 6, 2024 at 3:52 pm Sadly, you left out quite a bit about the objectives of Trump and Project 2025. Here are some of the other “goals” they would attempt:
Project 2025:

Laurel says August 7, 2024 at 1:04 pm Thank you Tony Mac. Now, watch the Trumplicans ignore your post as it doesn’t fit their narrative, and Trump claimed to know nothing about Project 2025, yet numerous people from his Presidential staff are directly involved. Governor Ron DeSantis has been actively changing the State of Florida to conform to Project 2025 goals. If elected, DeSantis claimed to make the United States Florida. People don’t want it. That is why the Heritage Foundation is laying low, or trying to, and Trump is distancing himself from it.

MaccaWannabe says August 5, 2024 at 8:53 am I recoil in mock horror as I contemplate a narcissist defeat at the hands of this barren, chuckling cat lady. Is this not America, built on the principles of principled old white men & newly minted ‘supreme benched’ sages? Surely it is time to unlock our warm embrace of democracy for a despotic destiny as we beautiful Christians chant ‘nay’ to further voting in favor of a totalitarian; tightly gripping the hand of fate as we lemmings follow our demigod into the abyss? And where can I get a pair of those runners in size 12?
Samuel L. Bronkowitz says August 5, 2024 at 11:11 am There are lots of valid reasons to not vote for harris but these aren’t them.
Laurel says August 5, 2024 at 12:44 pm This is what Trumpism has supported: To okay those bigots and misogynists to come out from under their rocks to celebrate their stupidity, and furthermore, take us back in time with a worse outcome than before, while other countries in the world have embraced female leadership for decades. The dumbing down of America continues. I will admit, however, any woman who votes for Trump/Vance definitely has a questionable IQ.
Sherry says August 5, 2024 at 8:59 pm Right On! Laurel. . . I just can’t get my mind around how in the world any “self respecting” woman could vote for a man found guilty of “Sexual Assault”. OOPS! Answered my own question with the qualifier “self respecting” woman. Ala Roseanna Roseanna Dana. . . “Never Mind”! LOL!
Sherry says August 5, 2024 at 9:19 pm Research shows that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives can have many benefits for organizations, including financial performance, innovation, and employee engagement:
Financial performance
Companies in the top quartile for gender diversity are 25% more likely to outperform their peers financially, and companies in the top quartile for ethnic diversity are 36% more likely. McKinsey & Company also found that ethnically diverse companies are 35% more likely to have financial returns above their industry medians.
Innovation
Diverse teams can offer different perspectives and ideas, which can help companies solve problems and develop creative solutions. A Harvard Business Review survey found that a 0.1-point increase in a company’s DEI rating correlates to a 13% increase in its ability to change.
Employee engagement
Inclusive teams can be over 35% more productive, and companies with more diverse management teams can have 19% higher revenue due to innovation. Job seekers also view a diverse workforce as an important factor when considering job offers.
Other benefits of DEI include:
Decision-making
Diverse teams are 87% better at making decisions and 20% more likely to make bold decisions. Inclusive teams can also make decisions twice as fast with half the meetings.
Trust
DEI can be a key component of building trust between leadership and employees
Sherry says August 5, 2024 at 9:46 pm OK. . . Now let’s measure the best Presidential candidate that the current extreme right winged republican party can come up with: 1. 78 Years Old
2. Convicted Felon (over 30 counts) for falsifying business records
3. Also found “Guilty of Sexual Assault”
4. Also found “Guilty” of Fraud in a separate case
5. Also found “Guilty” of “Defamation” of the woman he assaulted
6. Impeached TWICE in a “bipartisan” vote in Congress
7. Outstanding “Indictments” in THREE other cases in Georgia, Florida and Washington DC I could go on and on about his lying, adultery and many other character flaws. Why isn’t that person in jail?
Such a reprobate is not qualified for any job. Thank goodness for food stamps! Do they still have them available in Florida?
David Schaefer says August 6, 2024 at 10:31 pm Thank You for your response , I agree with you 100% except one thing put that idiot in jail where he belongs please.
Ed P says August 6, 2024 at 11:48 am It is true, VP Harris’ pick for a running mate is Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota.
He recently signed a few bills that provide illegal immigrants free 2 or 4 year college tuition at State Universities. No private colleges allowed. Just maintain a good academic standing and earn less than $80,000.
He also approved free health care as well as driver’s licenses. (Wonder how they prove age, residency, and actual name and identity)
All this while raising taxes on the citizens even with a budget surplus.
Laurel says August 7, 2024 at 1:34 pm Ed P: I looked it up, and you are correct. However, a tad cherry picked. Saw it on the headline of the New York Post, which is the equivalent to the Enquirer. The State of Minnesota is providing free enrollment to ALL Minnesotans, not just immigrants, whose family makes less that 80K, and they must keep up high grades. The application form also includes the term “Dreamers,” who as you well know, know no other country as theirs other than this one. That would make them “documented” though still not natural citizens. Minnesotans are clearly interested in making better citizens. Yes, the State of Minnesota has allowed illegal immigrants to receive drivers licenses, so that they must get insurance and pass driving tests like everyone else. That too, does tend to make them documented to a certain degree, doesn’t it? Now, the state knows them, and where they live and work. Since they already pay taxes, and normally cannot benefit from them, that gives them the addresses, names and ages you were concerned about. Minnesota trying to make better citizens out of them. As Trump would put it, they would not longer be “anominnesses.” So, here’s what I don’t understand about Trumplicans: I am very much a bootstrappy person, but I don’t understand the heartlessness of those who claim to be Christians. I’m not saying you are a Christian, but a cross dangling around most Trumper’s necks suggest that they are. Sadly misrepresenting Jesus. We are all the result of immigrants, this country is made up of immigrants. Are we really afraid of immigrants taking “black jobs?” “Black jobs,” my God, what a comment. Bootstrappy or not, I tend to lean more towards the love than the hate. If Trump is the right person, why so many lies? Why so much hate? Why so much spin? Why so much bigotry? Why so much denial? If he is the right person, all that should not be necessary.
Sherry says August 8, 2024 at 8:00 pm Thank you Laurel! Your last paragraph is especially right on. Why cut and paste FOX talking points against Harris and Walz, but completely ignore the convicted “criminality” of trump? I would like to think that most trump loyalists “know” their guy is a crooked loser, but like trump they can never ever admit that maybe, just maybe they should return to fact based reality and rethink their position. . . instead of just “doubling down” in Fox town. What a shame and what a waste of human potential!
Dennis C Rathsam says August 6, 2024 at 11:48 am Kamala Hariss is simply not Qulified to be president! She lied & covered up Bidens mental decline, with help of the Democratic news machine. How many people lied about Biden? Democrats lied to win a ELLECTION….Its called treason! What else will Kamala lie about? She was for it …. before she was against it! What’s the real truth? How can you believe her? Sorry guys, but I was better off 4 years ago, & so was my wallet….. Have you gone food shopping lately? TRUMP / VANCE 24!
Ray W. says August 6, 2024 at 6:48 pm Hello Dennis C. Rathsam. I am curious. You were a bitter man four years ago and you are a bitter man today. How can you say you were better off four years ago? Maybe you weren’t as deluded then as you are now. Treason? Really? Please look up what treason really means.
Dennis C Rathsam says August 8, 2024 at 8:09 am Ray, Sorry but I was better off 4 years ago! 1.4% inflation, 3% interest rates, $2.oo gas, cheap food, no new wars! Inexpensive homeowners insurance, & car insurance. No invaders raping & murdering our young girls! {Ray, what would you say if it was your wife or your daughter, found in this condition?} We had peace in the Middle East, with the Abrams Accord…. My kids were able t0 buy THIER 1st home, with TRUMPS low interest rates. They couldn’t have done that now! Bitter, you bet I am, after living with Biden/Harris for 4 years & watching our country being destroyed. 4 more years of this socialistic far left thinking & we will no longer have a democracy. Your hatred of TRUMP, you like many others here, has clouded your mind. He,s not perfect, no man is. America was safe, prosperous, people could afford a little vacation, or a new car. What can they afford now, with less money, more inflation. Taxes keep climing, crime keeps climbing, everyday life is harder now than it was 4 years ago! How many people have to work 2 jobs to servive? Under Trump, at the end of the month there was a little money left over….Under Biden/Harris, the money runs out before the month is over. Y,all think Im nuts, but I don’t care, Im an American patriot, I love my country, You betcha Im voting for TRUMP!
Ray W. says August 8, 2024 at 8:32 pm Nice try, Dennis. Trump is as responsible for inflation, just as Biden is. Both signed unfunded stimulus spending bills into law. The injection of the unfunded stimulus money heated the economy to the point of triggering inflation. You keep breaking the first rule of persuasion. Do not lie to your readers. You keep thinking that lying over and over again will persuade people. Yes, gas hit $2 per gallon during the pandemic when demand collapsed, and gasoline sat unsold in tanks because people stopped driving during the lockdowns. Supply and demand being what it is, gas prices fell. You think Trump caused the drop in price? Oy, vey! During the Obama administration, OPEC engaged in a trade war with American energy companies by flooding the market with oil. The price of oil dropped precipitously to under $30 per barrel, which was below production cost in the U.S. at the time. A number of American shale oil producers went under or were sold off. Yes, I bought gas at BJ’s for $149.9 once, though it remained below $1.60 for quite a while. I admit that my fantasy of gas selling for $1.49.9 per gallon is better than your fantasy the Trump brought gas down to $2 per gallon, but at least I know that mine is a fantasy. You think your fantasy is reality. All you need to do is say it once. The pandemic-induced shutdowns tanked demand for gasoline. Supply soared. Prices dropped. Now that you have stated the truth, if only once, please stop spreading disinformation on this site. Trump had nothing to do with your $2 gas, the pandemic caused it. Biden had little to do with the $5 gas, because the 13 OPEC nations, along with its 10 non-voting affiliates voted to cut production by roughly 7% and they have kept up the production cuts ever since. The Russian invasion of the Ukraine caused further disruptions in the international oil marketplace. Just when are you going to accept that when supply of any product is significantly cut and demand remains the same, prices will rise. The Ukraine produced 13% of the world’s wheat and Russia added another 12%. When Ukraine exports were blocked, world wheat prices rose. Roughly 25% of the world’s supply of wheat was taken off the market. It didn’t help that American farmers endured drought conditions in 2022 and 2023 all across the Midwest and upper Midwest, cutting our own wheat yields. Yes, wheat-based foods increased in prices, but that was because of a worldwide wheat crisis. Eggs rose in price significantly because a severe variant of the bird flu swept the country two years ago. Over 50 million egg-laying hens were slaughtered. We are in the middle of another bird flu outbreak, one that has jumped to mammals. Milk cow herds have been impacted and millions more egg-laying hens have been slaughtered. I don’t hate Trump. I do oppose anyone who repeatedly promises to harm or kill people if he doesn’t get what he wants. He repeatedly lies. Do you agree that each of these two provable facts constitute just grounds to oppose him? If not, why not? Today, during a press conference, Trump claimed that the crowd that attended his speech before they went on to storm the capital was as big or bigger than the 250,000 who attended the I Have a Dream speech. Sworn evidence during the January 6 Commission put Trump’s crowd size at 53,000. Yes, immigrants have been raping and murdering girls for over a hundred years now, but studies show that they do so at a rate significantly less than do native born Americans. Homeowners insurance in Florida? Are you really arguing that state regulatory agencies that can’t find new insurance companies to replace the one’s that withdrew from Florida or went bankrupt from claims filed after disastrous storms is the Biden administration’s fault? Or that Florida auto insurance companies charging Floridians more than they charge residents in other states is Biden’s fault? As an aside, American crime is not rising. It rose during and shortly after the pandemic and it has been dropping ever since. Mortgage rates are higher because the Fed raised lending rates to slow down an overheated economy; it was too strong. Almost all of the overheating occurred from the pandemic stimulus money that I addressed above. When are you going to get it? When will you understand that the whole world suffered from an unpredicted and unusually deadly pandemic. Until you grasp the truth, that the pandemic affected the whole world, that entire economies were affected, you will continue to spread disinformation in every comment you post on the economy. No one political party started the pandemic. Both political parties spent trillions of dollars to counter the pandemic’s many and widely varied effects. When the economy roared back to life with artificially created money, inflation set in. The Fed raised lending rates to cool down the overheated economy. The economy is cooling down. No one knows the outcome of whether the economy will softly land or cross over into recession. You keep trying blame the blameless. It will never work. You will remain bitter. The pandemic is the proximate cause of the economic disruptions. Every economic action since then has been a derivation of the pandemic, not a causative agent.
Do you really care beyond your own bank account? says August 9, 2024 at 1:55 am So, you are ok with Trump grabbing your mom’s, wife’s, or daughter’s Pus**?! Demoralizing women, blue collar workers, military persons, making fun of those on the spectrum, hating veterans and calling them ‘suckers’, using loopholes to not pay workers (prior to being president), calling for others to show tax filing- but fighting not to file his own, sinking women and girls into a very low place of oppression seen in the 1950s, a liar, and…… Are you okay saying YOUR life is better, but not those of women, children, blue collar workers, Veterans, those in the military, those that have mental or physical obstacles, and/or those that don’t hate and want revenge? You would put your own personal well being and gains over all those who are below you, or persecuted, or forced to live lives that aren’t free? Just asking….
Ray W. says August 6, 2024 at 6:59 pm Hello Dennis C. Rathsam. I am watching Fox News after the roll-out of the Harris-Walz ticket. Not even talking about the speeches. Fox News is focusing of Vance’s travel itinerary. Oops, now they are shifting over. And they are now focusing on the stimulus checks that benefited the wealthy. Now, they are blaming Biden for the $1400 checks, when it was Trump who signed one of the benefit checks bills into law, as part of the first $2 trillion in unfunded stimulus funds. Now, they are talking about the jobs report as a “red flag.” Does this meet your definition of treason?
Laurel says August 8, 2024 at 3:26 pm Ray W.: There are three levels of Trumpism here.
Level one intensely hopeless – Dennis
Level two someone who knows better, but can’t let it go – Jimbo
Level Three someone who damn well knows better, but we don’t fully know the angle – EdP
